Brief: Creation and conceptualisation of a partwork-supported collectible trading card game based on the Doctor Who IP.

Approach: As with the Top Gear card game, DWMI needed to be more than a basic Top Trumps clone. Cards based on characters, storylines and events in the recent series combine to provide a deck-building card game that can adapt to many game types and rule variations, providing ample content for the ongoing magazine to cover.

Result: Launched in May 2011, DWMI has proven to be a massive hit with 'Who' fans, with future expansions already planned.
