Brief: Full creation and design of a
Top Gear-based trading card game and partwork magazine.
Approach: Requiring more depth than a simple 'Top Trumps' clone with fast cars, we designed the TG game to reflect the irreverent nature of the TV show by including as much about the presenters and features as about the cars. The accompanying magazine promotes the game while providing a dynamic and flashy appeal of its own with gatefold supercar posters and bold, child-friendly design throughout.
Result: An extremely successful nationwide launch in January 2010, with follow-up expansions planned and futher card game/partwork-related projects commissioned by the BBC.
